Start in prayer by inquiring the amount of money that God would put in your heart to give. Involve and disciple your whole family through the miracle of giving something great for God. Ask Him for creative ways to allow your family to give the biggest gift possible. Expand your ability to give more generously by increasing your income and decreasing your expenses. Consider giving from your savings, tax breaks and refunds, new business ideas, fundraising ideas such as garage sales, or an extra part-time job as an extra income source. Also consider reducing unnecessary expenses or deferring a major purchase as a sacrificial offering to God.

We can give far more than we thought possible when it's spread out over time (See your giving potential on the next page). In addition spiritual maturity is developed through the habit of weekly giving. Most importantly, giving the first portion of our income on the first day of each week (Sunday) shows that God really has first place in our hearts!
